Lauren "Ren" Tysinger, LMBT #14715

Lauren “Ren” Tysinger (they/them) is a dedicated licensed massage therapist with ten years of diverse experience in the industry, from franchises to private practices and spa administration. Ren began their journey into bodywork at Naropa University, the only accredited Buddhist college in America, where they earned a degree in Traditional Eastern Arts with a focus on Tai Chi, initially planning to pursue acupuncture. However, their path took a beautiful turn when they discovered a passion for massage therapy at the Body Therapy Institute.

Ren specializes in creating a warm and welcoming space for clients who may find touch challenging, offering intentional and compassionate bodywork. Their extensive range of modalities — including ashiatsu, lymphatic drainage, TMJ intra-oral, reflexology, sound therapy, and myofascial work — allows them to tailor each session to meet the unique needs of every client. While they often employ deep tissue techniques to release deep-seated muscular and emotional patterns, Ren also embraces the healing power of relaxation, trusting in the body’s natural ability to heal.

In a previous life, Ren worked in programming and development, complemented by a background in dance and gymnastics. Outside of work, Ren enjoys tinkering with circuit boards and training their lively pet parrot.

Laura Canfield, NCLMBT #22701

Laura is a caring and compassionate massage therapist who came into the field later in life to support loved ones in their health care transition journeys and diagnoses. During her education, she found a deep curiosity, appreciation, and respect for how our muscles move our bodies and how in many ways the body keeps score holding tension and energies that are preventing us from living our best lives. To Laura, massage is a powerful and effective way to assist our bodies & minds in opening the channels of energy and tension release to maximize client outcomes. All bodies deserve to be pampered and treated with nurturing care and respect.

Laura's massage style includes grounding through deep breathing, an empathetic listening ear, and intuitive and calming touch with specialized pressure techniques to address individual client needs. She prides herself in meeting clients bodies where they are and offering treatment based on what "stories" are being told by the ebb & flow of the muscles. Her therapeutic goal is to have clients feeling Relaxed, Rejuvenated, Restored, and Ready to book a next session.

Outside of massage, Laura's long-term passion and main job is teaching preschool. She loves creating safe, secure, and welcoming learning environments for her classes. She has been teaching off and on for the majority of her adult life. The running joke in her household is that she finally "graduated" from molding play-dough to molding muscles! Woohoo!
